Though many may see August as a final opportunity to relax and enjoy the last, lazy days of summer, there’s little sign of this mentality in the world of tech investment. Over twenty-one funding deals took place this past month, including Georgian Ventures's $714M raise, which was one of the largest venture capitalist funds closed in Canada to date. 

Other significant—though comparatively small—rounds were raised by Sonder ($85M), Kira Systems ($64M), and MineSense Technologies ($23.5).
