In September, Verafin, a financial crime software management service whose clientele includes over 3000 banks and credit unions across Canada, dominated where funding deals were concerned, raising $515M (CAD). Software provider Element AI, meanwhile, quietly secured a $200M (CAD) deal, which it will use commercialize more of its products and continue R&D (TechCrunch). The runners-up in terms of funding round size were Repare Therapeutics, Trulioo, and Terramerra, who raised $82.5M (USD), $70M (CAD), and $45M (CAD), respectively. See the graphic below for more of last month's most significant deals.
