About Us:

Fundica is Canada’s most award-winning online funding tool. The platform matches entrepreneurs, private investors, public funders and advisors, through a unique crowdsourcing/crawler technology. Fundica also manages the Fundica Roadshow, an annual cross-Canada initiative, designed to educate, inspire, and fund entrepreneurs.

The Challenge:

We are looking for a strategic and energetic General Manager to lead the Fundica team. If you are looking to make an impact on entrepreneurship in Canada, this role is for you.

Your role will cover three important aspects - product management, operations management, and business development:

Product Management

  • Develop client driven new features and improvements

  • Lead the design process for the new development initiatives

  • Lead the scrum meetings and developer sprints

  • Work with the development team to fully test all new software releases

Operations Management

  • Take responsibility for managing the Fundica funding database to ensure it remains up-to-date, comprehensive, and relevant

  • Manage one or two data analysts

  • Plan for and manage all activities related to any Fundica or Fundica Roadshow events

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Work with the President on product licensing and other revenue opportunities

  • Work with partners on marketing and affiliate marketing initiatives

  • Build new and strengthen existing partnerships with venture capitalists, angels, other funding agencies and pro-entrepreneurship groups across Canada

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent

  • 1-3 years of operations, business development, marketing or product experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in managing a team

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - fluency in French and English

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Self-starter who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion

  • Quick and creative learner with the ability to learn new strategies and work with tight deadlines

  • Holds a valid driver’s license
