SDTC closes call for applications Oct. 16th (Vues: 3386)

Thu, 10 Oct 2013

Until the 16th of October, SDTC, or Sustainable Development Technology Canada, will continue to accept statements of interest for its SD Tech Fund. As a Government-based organization, SDTC currently works as the financial supporter of clean technology development programs. The orientation of SDTC resolutely points towards environment-friendly projects and organizations, including the development and safety of natural resources, environment-friendly vehicles, and sustainability of agriculture, energy conservation and development of remote areas.

With the SD Tech Fund, SDTC hopes to help bridge the funding gap of clean technology projects between the research and commercialization stages “without taking an equity stake, without requiring ownership of intellectual property or any repayment of funds.”

Individuals willing to submit a statement of interest to the SD Tech Fund should meet certain eligibility criteria. First, applicants must represent a for-profit corporation, a partnership, a limited partnership or a business trust t. Second, they must be developing a sustainable technology  in pre-commercial development or demonstration stages of new sustainable development technologies relevant to the primary economic sectors in Canada. Third, they must have either a contract or a collaboration with another organization, educational or not, for said project.

For more information on how you can join the other 245 clean technology companies that comprise SDTC’s $2.1 billion clean technology portfolio visit the SD tech fund page. Also of interest might be SDTC's NextGen Biofuels fund.
