CARIC-GARDN Invites Aerospace-Based Project Ideas for 2nd Round of Funding (Views: 2751)

GARDN, a business-led network promoting aerospace technologies for the protection of the environment through the promotion of R&D partnerships between the industry, SMEs, research centres and universities is teaming up with CARIC, an organization that facilitates the collaboration within the aerospace industry by providing responsive and impactful R&D, for a national workshop tour. The tour’s purpose is to help foster the collaboration between the aerospace industry and stakeholders.

Both organizations are in search of project ideas for their 2nd round of funding with a budget of $7 million to allocate to potential projects. Those submitting will have the opportunity to present their project during a national workshop tour. The tour will start off in Montreal on January 20, 2015. Eligibility Criteria:
  • Funding from industrial sources (at least 50% of the project cost)
  • A minimum of 2 collaborators (including an industrial leader)
  • Involvement of a SME
  • TRL progression
  • Linked to one of the GARDN research theme: Clean, Quiet, Sustainable

Evaluation Criteria:
  • Benefits to the Canadian aerospace sector
  • Development of Highly Qualified People
  • Environmental impact
  • Feasibility, collaboration, quality of researchers
