During the month of April, 30 funding deals took place within Canada. Some of the most notable transactions were from Blackberry that acquired Watchdox for $150 million and Slack, a British Columbia startup that raised $160 million from Horizons Ventures, Digital Sky Technologies, Index Ventures, Spark Capital and Institutional Venture Partners.
