The Funding Roadshow is more than an opportunity to pitch to funders; it is an opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs as well as learn from the experience of veterans. In order to facilitate the exchange of information, workshops were organized at every stop. Their content, while focused on funding, also dips into larger, more managerial aspects of running a business. If you are starting up a business or feel you need a refresher on business and funding, here are 4 presentations that should get you going:

In "Lean Startup Lessons", Dominic Bortolussi goes over the Lean Startup blueprint and adds in the expertise he has obtained since founding The Working Group. 

"Intro to crowdfunding” is a presentation that was given by Don Pare from Real Value Capital. In it, Don shares some important crowdfunding trends and presents guidelines for efficient crowdfunding campaigns.

"Understanding Funding" is a presentation by our very own CEO, Mike Lee. In his presentation, Mike explains how your company’s situation influences which kind of funding you should be trying to obtain as well as how to approach funders and close a deal.

Finally, "What’s new with the SR&ED tax credit program?" was a presentation by Sahar Ansary from R&D Partners, and as you can probably guess, it is an overview of Canada Revenue Agency's Scientific Research and Experimental Development tax credit program. Everything you need to know from applicable tax rates to audit steps in 13 slides.
