Through its Digital Accelerator for Innovation and Research (DAIR) program, CANARIE provides free high-performance cloud resources to Canadian entrepreneurs for development and testing of new products and services. This reduces operating costs for Canadian startups and SMEs by eliminating early-stage cloud hosting fees. The program also allows entrepreneurs to refine their skills with cloud technologies.  

Curatio, a former winner of the Fundica Roadshow, used the free DAIR program to build and test its complex mobile health platform. Lynda Brown-Ganzert, president of Curatio, said, “DAIR helped reduce time to market and allowed Curatio to demonstrate its product at a low cost, with maximum flexibility.”  

As of today, the DAIR Cloud program has helped over 1,000 SMEs across Canada build and test new products and services.  

Through this partnership, CANARIE and Fundica are helping Canadian tech entrepreneurs boost the commercialization of their products and services.  

Since 2013, the Fundica Roadshow, an annual cross-Canada initiative, has been providing opportunities for startups and small business owners to pitch to and partner with private and public investors and organizations, like CANARIE, that support entrepreneurship.
