FUNDING HIGHLIGHT: BioReady Paid Internship Program

Looking for great biotech talent wage subsidies!

Finding and hiring a new employee in the biotechnology area can be very challenging. Qualified, foreign-educated employees can lack local work experience and job finding skills, but can often be excellent and loyal employees.

Overview of the program

The new BioReady Program offers funding to cover up to 50% of an Internationally Educated Professional’s (IEPs) salary, accommodation, and training costs, up to $11,500 per year per individual. The goal of the program is to help the foreign-educated professionals integrate into the work market and rapidly acquire valuable work experience in Canada’s growing bio-economy.

How do candidates apply?

BioTalent first evaluates the skills and expertise acquired internationally by IEPs in biotechnology and non-biotechnology fields to identify suitability IEPs for the Canadian bio-economy. The suitable employees are certified BioReadyTM by BioTalent - a stamp of approval for employers looking to hire educated and qualified workers in the biotech sector.
